How do I get started?

To get started, fill out the Therapy Intake Form linked to the "Make An Appointment" button. A clinician from Creating Your Journey will give you a call back/respond via email (your preference) within a few business days.

What does the first session look like?

The first session will look more like an intake than a formal therapy session. We want to get a good understanding of how your struggles has been impacting your day-to-day living. You'll notice we ask a LOT of questions in the beginning, and this is why. You are the expert on your struggles; we have the tools to help.

What is my financial investment?

We are mostly out-of-network with all insurance companies. This means payment is due at each session and will be billed automatically through the secure and HIPAA-compliant client portal. We are happy to provide a superbill (itemized receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company for any potential out-of-network benefits your plan may include.

We cannot make any guarantee about what your insurance company will reimburse. However, to learn more about your plan, you can call the customer service number on your insurance card and ask what your out-of-network mental health benefits include.

 

Sessions with Salicia Mazero LPC (Owner/Founder) are $150/per 52-minute session and only in network with Cigna and Aetna.

Sessions with Tammy Root PhD, MS, PLPC and Katie Mason LMSW are $150 per session. 

At this time, we do not have sliding scale openings.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 48 hours notice when canceling your session to avoid the late cancellation/no-show fee. The fee is $125.

Do you offer therapy in person or online?

We offer both in person and Telehealth services.

Telehealth link will be provided by the therapist. Client must live in the Missouri.
