MARGIE DElgado M.eD, PLPC
Provisionally Licensed professional counselor
Margie Delgado, M.Ed. is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) who is passionate about helping adolescents, young adults, and adults navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-compassion. She believes healing happens within a safe, collaborative relationship where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to reconnect with their authentic selves.
Margie earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Webster University and her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Before becoming a therapist, she served in AmeriCorps NCCC, worked as an Operations Specialist in the United States Coast Guard, and became a mother—experiences that shaped her deep appreciation for resilience, adaptability, and the importance of nervous system regulation during times of stress.
Margie has experience working with children, adolescents, and families experiencing anxiety, trauma, identity development, perfectionism, and life transitions. She has a special passion for supporting teen girls, young women, and student-athletes who struggle with body image concerns, self-worth, performance pressure, and the overwhelming expectations that often accompany adolescence and early adulthood. She works collaboratively with parents and caregivers to strengthen communication, increase emotional understanding, and support lasting change beyond the therapy room.
Margie also has a growing clinical focus in eating disorder treatment and is passionate about helping clients build a healthier relationship with food, movement, and their bodies. She recognizes that eating disorders are rarely just about food and strives to help clients understand the underlying emotional, relational, and nervous system patterns that contribute to their struggles. Through compassionate, evidence-based care, she supports clients in moving toward recovery while cultivating self-trust and body acceptance.
Her therapeutic approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed. She integrates evidence-based modalities while tailoring treatment to each client's unique strengths, experiences, and goals. Margie has received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), and Bounce Back. She also has a strong professional interest in somatic therapies and eating disorder treatment and continues to expand her knowledge of mind-body approaches to healing. As a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor, Margie practices under the clinical supervision of Salicia Mazero, MA, LPC, ATR, CEDS-C, SEP, owner of Creating Your Journey, LLC and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant.
Whether clients are navigating anxiety, trauma, body image concerns, eating disorders, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, Margie is committed to creating a compassionate space where healing feels possible and lasting change can begin.
